Event journal – 20th Australian HACCP Conference in Melbourne
The Australian HACCP Conference is the premier discussion forum for all food industry professionals in food safety. Each year the conference attracts a loyal following who are involved in the development, implementation and maintenance of food safety programs in Australia and New Zealand.
This year, Safefood 360 was proud to formally join the food safety professional community by exhibiting on the trade floor. The last two days provided the team with the opportunity to meet many food businesses and other professionals.
The conference was the official launch of Safefood 360 in the Australian and New Zealand market. The official launch follows a yearlong preparation as we fully tested the product with a number of Australian food businesses and built our local Australian team. Heading this team up is Stam Levenderis. Stam’s experience and roots in the food sector in Australia underpin our software solution and ensure our customers will receive world class and pertinent support. At the exhibition stand we discussed a number of reoccurring themes and pain points with Australian food businesses including SQF, WQA version 8. We were able demonstrate how our solution easily addresses these requirements.
A big thanks to Ajay Shah, Senior SF360 Product Specialist, who also manned the trade stand with Tony and Marty from DaVinci Foods who kindly gave of their time to speak directly to food businesses investigating Safefood 360. We will shortly have a customer story video on the web site for DaVinci’s.
The conference program itself covered issues affecting the industry at the moment resulting from a wide range of events including regulatory change, international policy implementation, food borne illness outbreaks and technology developments.
More about our Australian team in the coming weeks… In the meanwhile – here are some pictures from Melbourne.
